Kasatpol PP Bengkulu Punishes Chicken Traders Who Threaten with Sajam

Bengkulu - The head of the Bengkulu City Police Pamong Praja Unit (Kasatpol PP), Sahat Marilutua Situmorang, reported a street vendor who was selling on the road body of the Panorama Market to the police for allegedly committing intimidation with sharp weapons.

The threat was made by a chicken seller who sold on Jalan Semangka because he did not receive it from members of the Bengkulu City Satpol PP on Thursday, January 22.

"We have gone to the Gading Cempaka Police to report the incident that occurred last Thursday where Satpol-PP members while carrying out their duties were attacked by traders who violated the rules for selling on the body of Jalan in the Panorama Market area of Bengkulu City and the perpetrators carried two machetes that were directed directly at Satpol PP members and mentioned the name of the Kasatpol PP," said Sahat as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 24.

He said the alleged perpetrator also threatened to commit murder and burn the Bengkulu City Head of Satpol PP's house because he did not want to be disciplined.

Satpol PP reminded people in the area to comply with the applicable regional regulations (Perda) to ensure that Bengkulu is a safe, orderly, and other cities.

"The principle is simple, if we choose to live in Bengkulu City, then we must follow the rules here. The regulation is not made to curb, but to ensure that this city is orderly, safe, and comfortable for everyone," said Sahat.
