North Tapanuli Receives 103 Permanent Housing Assistance from the Ministry of Public Housing
MEDAN - The North Tapanuli Regency Government, North Sumatra, stated that it would receive assistance for 103 permanent housing (huntap) from the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) for victims affected by disasters in the region.
Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of North Tapanuli Regency, Budiman Gultom, said that hundreds of housing were undergoing the construction process.
"We received 103 huntap units from the Ministry of PKP, and are currently in the process of construction," said Budiman Gultom as reported by ANTARA.
He said that hundreds of these permanent dwellings were built on the local district government's assets covering an area of four hectares located in Dolok Nauli Simatemate Village, Adiankoting District.
Later, he said, the permanent residence will be handed over to disaster victims whose houses are severely damaged, lost or in the red zone.
"This residence has a building size of type 36 houses and has 2 rooms," he said.
Gultom said the process of building 103 permanent housing is in the land maturation stage and is expected to be completed on April 21, 2026.
Based on data from the Disaster Management Operations Center (Pusdalops PB Sumut) as of January 22, 2026, 14,033 people from 3,509 families were affected by flood and landslide disasters.
Pusdalops recorded the number of people who died as a result of the disaster as 36 people and two people were still missing.
