Indonesia Masters 2026: Jafar/Felisha Gebuk Fourth Seeds
JAKARTA - The mixed doubles team of Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu managed to defeat the fourth seeded team from France, Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue, to reach the semifinals of the 2026 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters.
Jafar/Felisha, who are seeded sixth in the tournament, fought back from the first game to secure victory in front of their own public with a final score of 13-21, 22-20, and 21-16 on Friday, January 23, 2026.
"First of all, praise God, we are very grateful that we can continue to the semifinals, finish today's match with a victory without any injuries and be able to get out of the pressure and win," said Felisha after the match.
This is the first semifinal that Jafar/Felisha managed to achieve during their time at Istora. This achievement also improved their previous results which were less than satisfactory.
"It's nice to be able to get to the semifinals here because from the results before, we lost a lot in the beginning. The results were not good and this is what we wanted," said Felisha.
Jafar/Felisha is the first representative of Indonesia who reached the semifinals of the BWF Super 500 level event. They are also the only Indonesian mixed doubles left at Istora.
Previously, the mixed doubles journey of Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil had already crashed. The pair surrendered against the second-seeded Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin from China.
