Not Only Flood of Orders, Geely EX2 is Also Claimed to Have TKDN up to 46.5 Percent

JAKARTA - Geely has officially announced the price of the EX2 a few days ago, although the electric car made its debut in November 2025 and is already open for pre-orders at GJAW. The Chinese manufacturer claims that Geely EX2 has been ordered thousands of units.

"So it's been since it was introduced and the pre-booking period has collected more than 1,500 and continues to grow. The USP (unique selling point) of the EX2 that we offer has been accepted by consumers," said Sales & Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia Constantinus Herlijoso, to reporters at PIK 2, Banten, recently.

Furthermore, he mentioned that his party would start distributing the units that consumers had ordered in the near future in stages. As an appreciation for the positive acceptance of the community, Geely provides special prices for the limited booking period.

The Geely EX2 banderol was announced along with two variants, namely Pro and Max. The car, which has another name, Xingyuan EV in China, is sold starting from Rp. 229.9 million for the Pro variant and Rp. 2599 million for the Max variant.

However, this price is valid for the purchase period until February 15, 2026, for the first 2,000 buyers. Originally, the Geely EX was sold for Rp. 255 million (Pro) and Rp. 285 million (Max) on the road (OTR) Jakarta.

On the other hand, Geely Auto Indonesia officially started the local assembly of the Geely EX2 electric vehicle model with a domestic component level (TKDN) of 46.5 percent. This step marks a strengthening of commitment in supporting the development of the national EV industry while expanding Geely's manufacturing base in the country.

"Through the localization strategy with 46.5 percent TKDN, we are ready to present a globally quality product that is assembled locally," said Geely Auto Indonesia CEO Wu Chuxing.

Geely EX2 is the third model that is assembled locally after Starray EM-i and Geely EX5. The assembly process is carried out through a strategic collaboration with PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM), with a production capacity of 60 units per day.

Previously, Geely had completed the trial production phase in May 2025 before expanding manufacturing activities in the second half of last year. Not only focusing on assembly, Geely also strengthened the national electric vehicle industry ecosystem through strategic partnerships with local component manufacturers.
