Ministry of Social Affairs Announces PKH BLT and Bansos to Start Disbursement in February
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs has confirmed that the distribution of the first phase of regular social assistance, including the Hope Family Program (PKH) Cash Direct Assistance (BLT), and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) will begin in February.
Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the government is currently preparing to distribute regular social assistance to around 18 million beneficiary families (KPM) throughout Indonesia.
"The first phase of regular social assistance is planned to be distributed in February for around 18 million beneficiary families, including PKH and food aid," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 23.
The Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed that BPNT in 2026 was given Rp. 200,000 per month to each KPM. The assistance is distributed per stage every quarter. In one period, the total assistance received reached Rp. 600,000 for the period of January, February and March.
Meanwhile, the amount of PKH assistance varies according to the recipient category, including school-age children, the elderly over 60 years of age, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and young children (Rp225 thousand - Rp750 thousand).
When asked about the possibility of distributing social assistance through the Red and White Village/Village Cooperative, he said the policy was still awaiting President Prabowo Subianto's direction.
According to him, as long as there is no new direction, the mechanism for distributing social assistance in this period will still be channeled through two channels, namely government-owned banks which are members of the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara) and PT Pos Indonesia.
"For distribution through village cooperatives, we are still waiting for the President's direction," he said.
Apart from that, Saifullah hopes that the distribution of the first phase of social assistance can run on time and on target to help meet the basic needs of the beneficiary families which on the same occasion will also take place during the fasting month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
