After a Long Wait, A$AP Rocky Releases Album Don't Be Dumb

Rapper, entrepreneur, actor, and fashion icon A$AP Rocky made a big statement in 2026 by releasing his fourth studio album, DON'T BE DUMB. Released via A$AP Worldwide/RCA Records, this is Rocky's first album in 8 years.

The album is highly anticipated, evidenced by the 130,000 more vinyl copies sold before the release date and occupying the #1 position as the most stored Hip-Hop album on Spotify with more than 1 million saves.

DON’T BE DUMB also features an impressive list of collaborators, including BossMan Dlow, Brent Faiyaz, Danny Elfman, Doechii, Gorillaz, Jon Batiste, Jessica Pratt, Slay Squad, Thundercat, Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn, and will.i.am. Danny Elfman and Thundercat also appear in the "Punk Rocky" music video as band members along with a group of characters.

Previously, the album was opened with the singles "Punk Rocky" and "Helicopter" creating great enthusiasm for the release of his LP. "Punk Rocky" was praised by Variety for "setting a new standard in humor and surrealism" for Rocky, while Rolling Stone stated that "this upcoming album seems to be one of Rocky's most creative works to date".

To realize his vision, Rocky worked with top director Tim Burton to create the album cover DON'T BE DUMB which features six iconic Rocky personas. They are brought to life in the signature style of the visionary director.

Each character from this group of six provides a glimpse into the unforgettable moments throughout Rocky's illustrious career. The list of alter egos includes GR1M, MR. MAYERS, RUGAHAND, BABUSHKA BOI, DUMMY, and SHIRTHEAD, which form the foundation for the ever-evolving narrative in the world of "DON'T BE DUMB."

Rocky has collaborated with Quince and Bilt to release the exclusive vinyl DON'T BE DUMB, as an extension of the innovative partnership that Rocky has activated throughout the album's launch, adding to the growing excitement surrounding the release. More than just a recording, this collection is a physical manifestation of the album's universe, minimalist, disruptive, and deliberately designed to be timeless, blurring the boundaries between music, design, and cultural artifacts.

The album was released after a very successful year for Rocky, in which he acted as co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, starred in two feature films produced by A24 - Highest 2 Lowest directed by Spike Lee, and If I Had Legs I'd Kick You which won the Golden Globe and was directed by Mary Bronstein, was announced as the creative director of Ray-Ban, and was appointed as Chanel's new house ambassador.
