Today Putin is visited by the President of Palestine, to discuss the situation in Gaza

JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the Kremlin today, Thursday, January 22 local time.

Citing Tass, the two will discuss the current condition of Palestine and the prospects for bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, economy, culture, and humanity.

Putin-Abbas is also scheduled to discuss the situation in the Middle East, with special attention to the Gaza Strip.

Previously, in a meeting of the Russian Security Council, Putin revealed plans to communicate with Abbas.

Putin said his discussions with Abbas were related to the establishment of a Peace Council for Gaza and the possible allocation of 1 billion US dollars from Russian assets frozen in the US.
