Meghan Trainor Gives Birth to Third Child by Surrogate, Here's Why
Meghan Trainor brought happy news from the family. She gave birth to her third child on Sunday, January 18 with a surrogate, using a surrogate to give birth to someone else's child.
This third child is female and named Mikey Moon with her husband, Daryl Sabara. Their decision to use surrogacy was controversial, until they revealed the reason.
"(Surogasi) is not our first choice, but we are constantly discussing with our doctors on our journey and this is the safest way for us to be able to expand our family," Meghan Trainor told People.
"We are forever grateful for that choice," he said.
The All About That Bass singer considers surrogacy not something that needs to be judged given that the procedure is legal and used well.
"I want people to know that surrogacy is a beautiful way to build a family. It's not something to be criticized or judged. It's rooted in faith, science, love, and teamwork. Every family's journey looks different and all are valid," Trainor explained.
"Our relationship is very strong and good. We felt connected during our journey and I will always be grateful for the love and care he gave us," he said.
Previously, Meghan Trainor gave birth to her first two children, Riley and Barry, through her own process.
This happiness also came in the midst of Meghan Trainor's preparations for her new album, Toy With Me, which will be released in April. The new album was announced at the same time as the announcement that they were expecting their third child.
"We love this kid so much. Riley and Barry are so excited and they even picked out his middle name. We're going to enjoy family time now, love you all," Meghan Trainor said.
