This program is a tangible manifestation of Daesang's concern for education and the development of Indonesia's young generation.
"This scholarship program is our commitment to the values of integrity and social concern in supporting the education of Indonesia's young generation who are successful. We hope that this scholarship can provide sustainable benefits and motivate the recipients to be ready to face the professional world," said Lim Jaehyun at the Inauguration of the Scholarship Award Batch 2 Daesang Scholarship Program in Ancol, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 21.
Lim explained that the Daesang Peduli Indonesia Foundation was established by the Daesang Group to carry out various social activities, one of which is through the Daesang Scholarship Program which was launched since 2024. This program is part of the company's long-term commitment to improving the quality of Indonesian human resources.
In this second batch, Daesang expanded its partnership by adding two universities, namely Gadjah Mada University and Brawijaya University. In the future, Daesang hopes that the scholarship program can reach more universities throughout Indonesia.
In addition to financial support, Daesang Group is also committed to increasing the capacity of students to be ready for the world of work. To strengthen the relationship between scholarship recipients and companies, Daesang also held a team building activity as a conclusion to the series of events. Lim hopes that this opportunity can be used by students not only to improve academic performance, but also to develop character, leadership, and social awareness.
"We hope that scholarship recipients can make the most of this opportunity, not only for academic achievement, but also to build character, leadership, and social concern," he concluded.
