Kediri child abused his mother to the point of being critical, had mental disorders
KEDIRI - The Kediri Police, East Java, arrested a child who abused his biological mother in Kunjang District, Kediri Regency, until the victim was critical.
Kunjang Police Chief, AKP Udi Waluyo, said the victim was named Tumiatun (69) a resident of Kunjang Kidul Village, Kunjang Village. The victim was known to his neighbors as he shouted for help.
"In this stabbing incident, there were witnesses who heard someone shouting for help. The neighbor immediately went to the source of the sound and found out that the victim was covered in blood," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 21.
He also said that the witness also admitted that he had crossed paths with the alleged perpetrator who was seen running in a hurry to leave the location. The alleged perpetrator is his biological son TA (50) who lives in Sidodadi Village, Sidomulyo Village, Purwoasri District.
"The witness asked the suspect but the suspect only answered briefly and unclearly, then left," he said.
The police who received the report also immediately went to the location. The victim was then found in a prone position on the mattress with blood stains.
In addition, a knife suspected of being used by the perpetrator was also found around the victim's body. The police then arrested the suspected perpetrator for questioning.
Meanwhile, the victim's mother was also immediately taken to the hospital for further health checks. The police are trying to investigate, including uncovering the reasons why the alleged perpetrator carried out the action.
The police have not been able to conduct further interrogation. From the results of the investigation, the suspected perpetrator was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
"This suspect has experienced mental disorders. So it can't be determined (the main motive for the act of persecution)," he said.
Meanwhile, for the condition of the victim's mother, the police chief said that at present her condition is still under the supervision of medical personnel. She suffered injuries to her abdomen and back.
In addition to arresting the alleged perpetrator, the police also managed to seize the evidence in the form of a knife. Currently, the evidence has been seized and secured at the Kediri Police.
"For evidence, it has been secured. This case has also been handled by the Kediri Police," said the Police Chief.
