Regent: North Aceh Needs Rp. 27.5 Trillion for Post-disaster Rehabilitation-Reconstruction
BANDA ACEH - North Aceh Regent Ismail A Jalil said the North Aceh Government needs a budget of Rp. 27.5 trillion to carry out post-flood recovery.
"These needs are based on the provisional estimate of the post-flood rehabilitation and reconstruction documents which caused very massive damage and affected various sectors, both infrastructure, housing and residential areas, social economy and cross-sectors," said Ismail, who is familiar with being called Father Wa, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 21.
The statement was made on the sidelines of attending the finalization meeting of the North Aceh Regency Post-Flood Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Plan (R3P) with Forkopimda at the local Regent's Pendopo.
He explained that the conditions on the ground had shown recovery, then Forkopimda recommended that the status of disaster handling be changed to the Transition Period for 3 (three) months, starting from January 25, 2026.
He said the R3P document was immediately agreed upon and signed together by Forkopimda as the initial data and will be updated after the validation process is completed.
The North Aceh Regent also instructed the BPBD together with the cross-element validation team to continue to verify and update the data of affected houses.
Then all OPDs immediately optimize public services during the transition period, both from the health sector, education, places of worship, and carry out the Gotong Royong of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to support the acceleration of the recovery of flood-affected areas.
