Mukomuko Regency Allocates Rp700 Million for Simultaneous Pilkades

Mukomuko - The Mukomuko Regency Government, Bengkulu, has allocated a budget of around Rp. 700 million for the implementation of the simultaneous village head election or pilkades in 2026.

"The simultaneous 2026 Pilkades will be held in 37 villages and the budget is in accordance with the budget implementation document (DPA) of around Rp. 700 million," said Head of Village and Kelurahan Government of the Mukomuko Regency Village Empowerment Office, Wagimin, in Mukomuko, Antara, Wednesday, January 21.

A total of 37 villages that will hold simultaneous pilkades in 2026 are villages whose term of office as village heads ends in November 2024.

However, the district government postponed the simultaneous pilkades in 2024 because it coincided with the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) agenda. Furthermore, in 2025, the Mukomuko District Government again postponed the simultaneous pilkades due to efficiency or budget adjustments.

For preparations for the simultaneous pilkades in the region, he said, further discussion with related agencies and approval from the regional head is still needed.

In the discussion with various parties, it will be determined whether the simultaneous pilkades will be carried out or not. If the simultaneous pilkades are carried out this year, the discussion will continue with the formation of the district level committee.

Furthermore, the committee will determine the schedule for simultaneous pilkades in 37 villages spread across a number of sub-districts.

Meanwhile, the post of village head in the 37 villages is currently held by the acting in accordance with the applicable regulations.

"If the term of office of the acting head of the village is over, it will be immediately extended," said Wagimin.
