Jakarta Investment 2025 Reaches Rp270.9 Trillion, Attracting 487 Thousand Workers
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained the realization of investment in Jakarta throughout 2025 which reached Rp. 270.9 trillion. This figure grew 11.99 percent compared to the previous year and became one of the highest investment achievements nationally.
Pramono said that this achievement reflects the level of investor confidence in the business climate and government in Jakarta.
"This is a strong indicator of investor confidence in the Jakarta government," said Pramono in a press conference on the realization of the 2025 APBD at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, January 21.
He explained that the investment was supported by domestic capital investment (PMDN) of IDR 175.3 trillion and foreign capital investment (PMA) of IDR 95.6 trillion. Overall, Jakarta contributed around 14 percent of the total national investment.
Pramono added that the realization of investment has a direct impact on job creation. Throughout 2025, investment in Jakarta absorbed around 487,000 workers.
"This investment contributes 14 percent to the total national investment. The investment in Jakarta opens up a space for employment of approximately 487,000 workers," he said.
In his presentation, Pramono also touched on the DKI Jakarta provincial minimum wage (UMP) policy in 2026 which was set at Rp5,729,876 or an increase of 6.17 percent. This increase is said to take into account various economic variables.
"This increase in UMP is expected to maintain public consumption and strengthen domestic demand as a machine, one of our growth engines," said Pramono.
Furthermore, Pramono said that the Jakarta economy continued to grow steadily with a cumulative growth (c-to-c) of 5.03 percent. One of the sectors with the highest growth was the provision of accommodation and food and drink.
"The accommodation and food and beverage sectors are among the sectors with the highest growth, namely 9.79 percent with a contribution of approximately 5.13 percent," he explained.
He also said that Jakarta's economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 was recorded at 4.96 percent, with household consumption still being the main support with a contribution of 63.43 percent to the GNI.
"This shows that the recovery and stability of the Jakarta city economy with the consumer confidence index (CCI) in December 2025 is at the level of 145.33. This shows high optimism," said Pramono.
In addition, the tourism sector also showed strength. The occupancy rate of five-star hotels in December 2025 was recorded at 62.03 percent, even full during the year-end holiday period in a number of major areas.
"Even when we welcomed Christmas and New Year yesterday, almost all hotels on Sudirman-Thamrin Street, Gatot Subroto, (residential level) were all 100 percent," he explained.
Community consumption activities are also reflected in the increase in digital transactions, especially through QRIS payments in traditional markets. It is recorded that the market's digitization has increased by 47 percent.
"This series of achievements shows that the economic structure of Jakarta is in a solid condition and is the main support for the sustainability of the programs that have been prepared, the priority development programs in the city of Jakarta," he said.
