Corruption Setwan DPRD Kepahiang Bengkulu Rp37 M, Kejari Telusur Aset 10 Terdakwa

Kepahiang - The Kepahiang District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in Bengkulu is currently conducting a search for assets belonging to the defendants in the alleged corruption case at the Kepahiang DPRD Secretariat (Setwan) for the 2021-2023 fiscal year, which has caused the state to lose Rp. 37 billion.

Head of the Legal Affairs Section (Kasi) of the Kepahiang District Prosecutor's Office, Febrianto Ali Akbar, said that the search for assets was carried out to recover state losses caused by the corruption case.

"Currently we (investigators) have been conducting asset searches by confiscating the defendant's assets," he said in Bengkulu City, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.

He said that the search for assets was carried out after his party read the demands related to the sentence against 10 defendants in the Kepahiang Regency DPRD Council Secretariat.

The demand was given because the defendants were proven to have violated Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law Number 20 of 2001 Jo Article 55 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

The following is the details of the charges against the accused of corruption, namely the former Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Kepahiang Regency Windra Purnawan with a sentence of one year and six months in prison with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and the replacement money has been recovered.

Former Deputy Chairman of the Kepahiang DPRD Andrian Defandra was sentenced to five years in prison, a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 1.4 billion, the former Treasurer of the Kepahiang DPRD Secretariat Expenditure 2022 to 2023, namely Didi Rinaldi, with a demand of seven years and six months in prison with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 7 billion.

Then, the former Secretary of the Council (Sekwan) of the Kepahiang DPRD, Rolan Yudistira, was sentenced to eight years in prison, with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 7 billion, the former Treasurer of Expenditures in 2021, namely Yusrinaldi, was sentenced to seven years in prison with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 7 billion.

Former Kepahiang DPRD Member for the 2019-2024 period, RM Johanda, was sentenced to five years in prison, a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 538 million, former Kepahiang DPRD Member for the 2019-2024 period, Joko Triono, was sentenced to five years in prison, with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 700 million.

Furthermore, the former Kepahiang DPRD Member for the 2019-2024 period, namely Maryatun, was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison, a fine of Rp. 50 million, and compensation of Rp. 72 million, the former Kepahiang DPRD Member for the 2019-2024 period, Budi Hartono, was sentenced to five years in prison with a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 642 million, and the former Kepahiang DPRD Member for the 2019-2024 period, Nanto Usni, was sentenced to five years in prison, a fine of Rp. 100 million, and compensation of Rp. 514 million.

"Our demands have been arranged, as is the role in the facts of the trial and the return of state losses. The defendant Windra is full of returning state losses," said Febrianto.
