Shania Twain Enters Final Stages of Working on Seventh Album
JAKARTA - The world's country pop icon from Canada, Shania Twain, is reportedly in the final stages of working on her seventh studio album.
After the success of the album "Queen of Me" which topped the charts in 2023, Twain reportedly felt very inspired to return to producing new music in the near future.
Launching The Sun, an internal source revealed that the creative process of the 60-year-old singer became more intensive after he completed the Come On Over - All The Hits residency in Las Vegas.
The busy tour schedule in the United States did not make him tired, but gave him a new energy that overflowed to enter the recording room.
"Shania originally started working on this album in early 2024, but postponed the recording to focus on the Come On Over: All The Hits residency in Las Vegas," the source said, quoted Wednesday, January 21.
"Since then, he has performed in various shows in America and entered the studio," he added.
According to him, the experience of returning to the stage and interacting with the audience became Twain's main trigger to seek inspiration.
After turning 60, Twain is said to have a deeper outlook on life. "Shania has always had a deep love of life, but turning 60 last summer also re-energized her. She's very inspired," the informant said.
Through a post on last spring, Shania shared a moment when she was caught on camera while heading to a songwriting session.
He admitted that he was lucky to be able to steal time in the middle of the busy schedule to pour ideas that had been spinning in his head since the last album.
"Photographed by my own husband on the way to what turned out to be an amazing writing session! I was lucky enough to find a little time to hide and record the ideas that have been swirling around my head since the last album," Twain wrote.
"It's funny to hear your own thoughts, feelings, and daydreams realized into a real song," he added.
Although aware of the challenges for senior female musicians in the global music industry, Twain insists that she currently feels more in tune with her true self than before. This spirit is proof that age is not a barrier to continue to be productive and relevant.
"I know that this world is not systematically built to nurture a woman my age who releases music, but I feel more in tune with myself than ever - strong, inspired, and full of creative energy," she said. "Thank you to my fans who have stayed with me through this process - you are my inspiration."
