"Regarding this incident, the initial handling has been carried out by the Pondok Gede Police, the perpetrator is under investigation," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat) of the Bekasi City Metro Police AKBP Braiel Arnold Randonowu in his statement, Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Braiel explained that the chronology of the incident occurred on Jalan Patria Jaya IV 94-100, RT 002/RW 013, Jatirahayu, Pondok Melati District, Bekasi City, West Java.
"Initially, the female victim with the initials ADS left her house on a motorcycle with the number plate B 5178 KII in black heading to her workplace," he said.
Furthermore, when he arrived at the crime scene, the victim was stopped by two people who were riding together and stopped the victim's vehicle.
Then, after successfully controlling the victim's motorcycle, the perpetrator immediately left the victim at the scene.
For this robbery, the victim reported this incident to the Pondok Gede Police for further investigation and investigation.
Previously, a video of a CCTV recording on the Instagram social media through an account circulated, which showed the victim's moments being snatched by the perpetrator who was two people.
"Two perpetrators of robbery pulled the victim until he fell, then the perpetrator swung a dagger (sharp weapon) towards the victim, so that the victim who was afraid screamed and ran," wrote the account.
