Vice President Gibran Checks Health Services at the Dr. Soekardjo Hospital, Tasikmalaya

TASIKMALAYA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming reviewed the Soekarjo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Tasikmalaya City, West Java, to ensure the strengthening of facilities and the quality of health services for the community so that they continue to run optimally.

The Vice President's visit was in line with President Prabowo Subianto's direction that the state has an obligation to ensure that all people have access to decent and accessible health services.

The Vice President emphasized the importance of strengthening health service facilities and optimizing the national health insurance system as part of efforts to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources.

The Vice President also directly monitored the patient service flow, ranging from outpatient registration, polyclinic services, to pharmacies.

Gibran saw a number of facilities, including the polyclinic building which is still in the completion phase and the inpatient building from the outside.

The Vice President also held a dialogue with health workers and greeted residents who were undergoing examinations and treatments.

Director of the Soekardjo Hospital, Dr. Budi Terbadi said, Vice President Gibran gave special attention to strengthening hospital facilities, including accelerating the completion of the service building.

"The Vice President emphasized the importance of improving the quality of health services. He also saw the polyclinic building which is still in the completion phase and encouraged that coordination with the provincial government can be completed immediately," said Budi.

Furthermore, Budi explained that most of the patients served at the Soekardjo Hospital were BPJS Health participants. Then Tasikmalaya City has achieved Universal Health Coverage (UHC) with BPJS membership reaching 99 percent of the total population.

"The activity of participants is currently around 83 percent. The Vice President also reviewed the services at several polyclinics, such as children's clinics, obstetrics, and neurology, as well as the outpatient pharmacy services," said Budi.

On the same occasion, the Vice President also held a dialogue with the patient's family.

One of the residents, Neng Neti, who is also a facilitator and companion of the Integrated Referral Service System (SLRT), expressed his appreciation for the attention given by the Vice President to the condition of patients undergoing medical referral.

"Alhamdulillah, the Vice President asked directly about the patient's condition and conveyed assistance so that the referral process to the referral hospital could run smoothly," he said.
