Bungie's New Game, Marathon, Will Be Released March 5, 2026 for PC and Console

Bungie officially announced that its latest game, titled Marathon, will be released on March 5, 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Along with that, Bungie also released the latest Marathon gameplay trailer, which introduces one of the characters in the game on the planet Tau Ceti, namely Gantry, an agent from the MIDA faction.

Marathon will feature six different factions, each with their own agents, identities, motivations, and conflicts that will be an important part of the game's narrative.

"As you complete contracts for each of the six factions, you'll learn more about their identities, motivations, and rivalries as you work together to uncover the mystery of Tau Ceti's fate," Bungie wrote in its announcement.

Here, you have to complete contracts, find narrative items, collect audio and text records of the lost colony, to unlock the Codex entries that are accessible outside the game. Everything is designed to build a rich and mysterious world of Tau Ceti.

Bungie presents two editions for this game, namely the Standard and Deluxe editions. The Standard edition includes access to all future gameplay updates.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition offers additional content such as the Premium Rewards Pass, SILK tokens, as well as various exclusive cosmetics for weapons and Runner Shell characters.

In addition, Bungie also presents the Collector's Edition Marathon which contains physical collection items, including a 1/6 scale Runner Shell statue, WEAVEworm miniature, embroidered patch, postcard, and digital gift.
