Vietjet Wins the World's Safest Airline 2026 Award, Strengthening Market Confidence
JAKARTA - Low-cost airline Vietjet is again on the list of the world's safest airlines in 2026 released by AirlineRatings.
This award reflects the company's consistency in maintaining safety standards amid fleet expansion and international flight networks.
Since 2018, Vietjet has continuously achieved a safety rating of 7/7, placing it in the ranks of low-cost airlines with the best safety performance globally.
AirlineRatings CEO Sharon Petersen assessed that Vietjet managed to combine business growth with operational discipline.
"The relatively young fleet, high technical reliability, and strong safety record are the main foundations of this success," he said.
On the other hand, Vietnam's aviation sector has also recorded significant improvements in ICAO safety audits.
For the Indonesian market, Vietjet currently operates direct flights from Jakarta and Bali to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, which strengthens bilateral connectivity and supports business and tourism mobility.
With a technical reliability rate of 99.72 percent, international safety certifications IOSA and ISAGO, and the addition of 22 new aircraft in one month, Vietjet reaffirms its commitment to sustainable growth with global safety standards as the top priority.
