Uncle Birin-Denny Indrayana Re-fight, Banjarmasin Police Deploy 1000 Personnel, Routine Patrol

BANJARMASIN - Polresta Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, will deploy around 1,000 personnel to guard and secure the re-voting (PSU) for the election of the governor and deputy governor of South Kalimantan.

"The South Kalimantan Pilgub PSU will be held on June 9, 2021, and the Banjarmasin Police are ready to oversee and secure this activity by deploying around 1,000 personnel," said Deputy Head of Police for the Banjarmasin AKBP Sabana Atmojo in Banjarmasin as reported by Antara, Sunday, May 30.

It is known, cagub Sahbirin Noor (Uncle Birin) and cagub Denny Indrayana will fight in the PSU this time. Currently, the Banjarmasin Police have begun to increase patrols in several areas holding PSUs.

Each polling station (TPS) will be stationed by two police officers to provide security.

His party also mobilized two platoons of personnel to carry out patrols in the South Banjarmasin area, where based on the decision of the Constitutional Court, the PSU was carried out.

In the implementation of PSU security, said Sabana, his party also continues to coordinate and cooperate with the city government and the TNI.

"In securing the PSU, the Banjarmasin Police are not alone, but are assisted by other stakeholders in carrying out activities such as joint patrols and then there is a judicial operation implemented in the PSU area," he said.

"We appeal to the people in the District of South Banjarmasin to continue to apply the health protocol in the implementation of the PSU when they go to the TPS to channel their voting rights," said the middle-ranking Police officer.

Sabana also invites all elements of society to work together to keep Banjarmasin City in a conducive condition, especially South Banjarmasin District which will be the area for holding the PSU for the election of the governor and deputy governor of South Kalimantan.

Based on the decision of the Constitutional Court, the PSU for the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election was conducted in the Sub-districts of Connect Makmur, Aluh-Aluh, Martapura, Mataraman, and Astambul, Banjar District, South Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City, and Binuang District, Tapin District.
