Realme Neo 8 Siap Debut, Gunakan "Monster" Baterai 8.000 mAh dan Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
JAKARTA - Realme is ready to shake up the world's smartphone market with the launch of the Realme Neo 8 which is scheduled to take place today, January 20, 2026, in China. Through a series of latest promotional posters, Realme officially confirms that this device will carry a giant 8,000 mAh battery, making it one of the phones with the largest power capacity in its class.
This phone is positioned as a "Flagship Killer" that combines exceptional durability with high-end performance. Despite carrying a "rhino" battery, Realme managed to keep the device's profile elegant with a thickness of only 8.3 mm and a weight of around 215 grams.
The Realme Neo 8 will be one of the pioneers using a Samsung AMOLED M14 (Sky Display) screen measuring 6.78 inches. This screen offers a very sharp 1.5K resolution with a super smooth refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a peak brightness level of up to 6,500 nits.
In the kitchen sector, Realme has embedded the latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Based on leaks, this device will support RAM variants up to 24GB LPDDR5X and internal storage up to 1TB UFS 4.1. This combination is claimed to be able to produce an AnTuTu benchmark score that breaks through the 3.58 million points.
For the first time in the Neo line, Realme has pinned high-level water and dust resistance certifications, including IP66, IP68, and IP69. This means that this phone is not only water resistant, but also resistant to high-pressure water spray and heat.
Other featured features include:
Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor: Embedded under the screen and still works accurately even if your hands are wet.
Crystal Armor Glass: The latest generation of screen protection layer that is more scratch and impact resistant.
Awakening Halo RGB: A futuristic indicator light system on the back that gives a strong gaming feel.
Camera and Connectivity SectorEven though it focuses on performance, the photography sector is not forgotten. The Realme Neo 8 is equipped with three rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera that supports digital zoom up to 120x.
This phone will be available in three color variants: Origin White, Mecha Grey, and Cyber Purple. The device is also guaranteed to run Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.
For consumers in Indonesia, there is good news because the device with the model number RMX8888 (suspected to be the global version of the Neo 8 which may be named Realme GT 8) has reportedly passed the TKDN certification with a value of 35.05%. This is a strong signal that this "battery monster" will soon land officially in the homeland in the near future.
