KPK Finds Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah During Madiun Mayor's OTT

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in the Madiun City area, East Java. There was a finding of money that the team got in the field.

"The team also secured evidence in the form of cash worth hundreds of millions of rupiah," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Monday, January 19.

Budi said that 15 people were caught in the silent operation. Nine of them were then decided to be taken to Jakarta for further investigation.

"One of them is the Mayor of Madiun," he said.

The anti-corruption commission has not detailed the allegations that occurred in the silent operation. Budi only said that it was suspected that there had been bribes related to project fees and CSR funds in Madiun City.

The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine which party is a suspect. More complete information will be conveyed through a press conference.
