Viral Thanks to "Culinary Class Wars 2", Im Sung Geun Admits to 3 DUI Cases

JAKARTA - The Culinary Class Wars 2 event is inseparable from the controversy involving the names of its participants. Chef Im Sung Geun, who became one of the viral chefs thanks to the event, was revealed to have experienced a DUI (driving under influence/driving under the influence) case three times.

Sunday, January 18, Im Sung Geun made a confession through his YouTube channel, Imjjang TV. He admitted to being involved in a DUI case three times.

"For 10 years, I drove drunk 3 times. I have a habit of sleeping in the car after drinking," said Im Sung Geun.

"I drink and sleep in the car, and the police catch me. They say I have to turn off the car engine just to sit. It happened 10 years ago, and the last time it happened was five or six years ago," he said.

The next day, JTBC television station said Im Sung Geun did not attend the Knowing Bros. He was scheduled to attend with the chefs, namely Cheon Sang Yeon, Lee Moon Jung, and Yoon Na Ra.

"Chef Im Sung Geun, who was scheduled to appear on Knowing Bros, canceled his appearance," JTBC said on Monday, January 19.

Previously, Im Sung Geun was rumored to have bullied during school, but he denied it and explained that he only stopped going to school in junior high school.

Im Sung Geun became one of the participants in the Culinary Class Wars 2 because of his unique cooking attitude and style. Because of this uniqueness, he was scheduled to attend several South Korean events such as Knowing Bros and Fun-Staurant.

In addition, he is also being discussed regarding his presence in the Hangout With You, The Manager, and Salon Drip events.
