Desperate in the Train, a Female Commuter Line Passenger in Pingsan at Matraman Station
JAKARTA - A female commuter line passenger suddenly fainted at Matraman Station, East Jakarta, Monday, January 19.
The victim fainted allegedly due to exhaustion while jostling inside the commuter train on the Cikarang - Kampung Bandan route.
KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan confirmed the incident.
"Security officers and health officers at the station immediately provided first aid to ensure that the user's condition remained stable," said Leza when confirmed by VOI.
Leza said the incident occurred during the morning rush hour, around 08.44 WIB.
"Our officers at Matraman Station reported that a user was unconscious," he said.
In accordance with safety procedures, security officers together with station health officers immediately evacuated the user to the station health room for initial medical action.
Based on the initial examination in the health room, the user was suspected of being exhausted.
"Health workers have provided first aid to the user," he said.
After receiving treatment and resting for a while, the user's condition was said to have improved and had gradually recovered.
"The person concerned returned home using another vehicle," he said.
Meanwhile, KAI Commuter appeals to all users to always ensure that their physical condition is in good health before traveling using the Commuter Line, especially during morning and evening rush hours.
"Previously, the Cikarang Commuter Line journey experienced delays and was stuck on the Jatinegara - Manggarai crossing this morning due to signal and rail obstacles at Jatinegara Station," he said.
