10 Motorcycles Burned in a Fire at a Parking Lot Near Bogor Station

BOGOR - A fire hit a parking lot near Bogor Station, Jalan Mayor Oking, Cibogor Village, Bogor City, West Java, today.

Head of the Bogor City Fire and Rescue Service, Agung Prihanto, said that the fire report was received by officers at around 06.00 WIB via telephone from a reporter named Wahyu.

"Officers immediately moved one minute after the report was received and arrived at the location at around 06.11 WIB," said Agung in Bogor, Antara, Monday, January 19.

He explained that the fire occurred in the Wahyu Motor parking area on Jalan Mayor Oking RT 04/09. Based on witness testimony, the smoke initially appeared from the second floor and was initially thought to come from burning garbage, before it was discovered that a motorcycle was on fire.

A total of two fire squads were deployed from the Sukasari, Yasmin and Cibuluh sectors with the support of seven fire trucks.

Agung added that in the incident, 10 units of motorcycles were burned and nine other units were affected.

The estimated total value of affected assets reached around IDR 400 million.

"The handling lasted about 15 minutes until the fire was successfully extinguished at 06.26 WIB," he said.

There were no reports of injuries or casualties in the incident. The condition at the fire site was reported to be safe and under control, with clear weather during the extinguishing process.
