JAKARTA - Along the Cakung Cilincing (Cacing) Raya Road, Cilincing, North Jakarta is still flooded up to 40 cm on Monday, January 19, 2026, in the morning. The waterlogged covers the Cakung Cilincing Road for 1 km.

The impact of the flood, a long traffic jam occurred to the JGC Cakung red light, East Jakarta.

From observation, the puddle of water that occurred on Jalan Cakung Cilincing was brown. A number of motorcyclists who crossed the road, some of them dared to break through the flood puddle.

However, this effort is not always smooth, many motorcyclists eventually surrender because their vehicles experience engine failure.

"The motor breaks down all those who pass by, because the flood reaches the calf of an adult for a long time. My motor also broke down," said Saragih (42), one of the motorcyclists affected by the flood.

Saragih was forced to put aside his vehicle and find a workshop to replace the spark plug of his motorcycle.

"The engine of the motorcycle died when the container passed by, so it was hit by waves at the location," he said laughing.

Saragih hopes that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can handle the frequent flooding in the area. The reason is, due to the flood, the impact is very detrimental to the community, especially motorcyclists who pass by.

"The flood starts from the front of Komatsu, Jalan Cakung Cilincing to the Toll Gate near the Cilincing Gas Station. The Governor must be serious about dealing with the problem of flooding in Jakarta," he hoped.

It is just known that the flood in Jalan Cakung Cilincing Raya, Rorotan Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta has occurred since Sunday, January 18, yesterday. The flood with a height of 20 cm has not yet subsided.
