YOGYAKARTA - The profile of Sabrang Mowo Damar Panuluh, known as the son of the culturalist Cak Nun, came into the spotlight after he was inaugurated as an expert at the National Defense Council. Sabrang Mowo Damar Panuluh was born in Yogyakarta on June 10, 1979. He is the eldest son of Emha Ainun Nadjib (Cak Nun) from his marriage to Neneng Suryaningsih who was Cak Nun's first wife.

Even though he currently lives in Yogyakarta, Sabrang actually spent his childhood in Metro Lampung with his mother. He even went to his first middle school at SMP Xaverius, Lampung. After that he only continued his education at SMAN 7 Yogyakarta.

After completing his education at SMA 7 Jogja, Sabrang continued his undergraduate education at S1 at the University of Alberta, Canada in 1997. At the university he took two majors, namely Bachelor of Mathematic and Bachelor of Physics. In 2003 Sabrang successfully completed his education by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc).

Sabrang decided to return to Yogyakarta after his studies in Canada were completed. In Jogja, he also started his career as an art and creative worker in various fields, both art, writing, to film.

Until 2007, Sabrang together with his high school friends formed a band group called Letto. The group is known to have changed personnel several times and in the end Letto was filled by 4 main personnel, namely Sabrang (Noe), Ari Prastowo (Arian), Dedy Riyono (Dhedot), and Agus Riyono (Patub).

Letto released his first album in 2006 with the title Truth, Cry, and Lie. Some of his songs became hits such as Sandaran Hati and Ruang Rindu. Since then, Sabrang has been known as Noe Letto.

Letto's success in the national music scene made the group the spotlight. Even the band created by Sabrang managed to get Double Platinum from the label that oversees the band, namely Musica Studio.

Not only in the music world, Noe Letto is also known to be active in the Indonesian film industry. In 2008 he is known to have founded the Production House Pic[k]Lock Productions with Dewi Umaya Rachman. The PH focuses on producing films with a strong socio-cultural-political background.

Through PH, Noe became a producer for several feature films. One of the films produced by Sabrang is "RAYYA, Cahaya di Atas Cahaya".
