Jakut Forkopimko Reviews Flood Locations in His Region, Urges Children Not to Play in Flood Waters
JAKARTA - Forkopimko together with the North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sudin conducted an inspection of a number of flood-affected areas around in North Jakarta on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
The Mayor of North Jakarta, Hendra Hidayat, said that flooding with a fairly high depth was observed on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya and Jalan RE Martadinata, precisely in front of the Impian Jaya Ancol Park area.
"The water level reached about 50 centimeters, which disrupted traffic flow," said Hendra, Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Hendra appealed to residents, especially children, not to play in flood areas to maintain safety.
"We still see residents, including children, playing in the water. We ask them to leave the flood site immediately for the sake of mutual safety," he said.
Hendra explained that the flood that hit his area again was due to high rainfall since Saturday.
"Since last night, heavy rain has fallen evenly throughout the North Jakarta area until 10.45 WIB, there are still several puddles," he said.
Meanwhile, the BPBD DKI Jakarta recorded 3 RT in North Jakarta that were flooded on Sunday afternoon.
One RT in Ancol Village was flooded with a height of 25 centimeters and two RTs in West Pademangan Village were flooded with a height of 30 centimeters.
