Police Divert Several Flood Scan Lanes on Sedyatmo Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police diverted a number of vehicle lanes on the Sedyatmo Toll Road due to flooding on a number of lanes.

Head of the Traffic Police Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) of the Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Dhanar Dono, said there were two flood points on the Sedyatmo Toll Road.

"Pluit 3 Toll Gate (GT) has a water height of 30-40 centimeters (cm) and the exit (exit) of Rawa Bokor or Tegal Alur has a water height of 10-15 cmr," he said when confirmed, in Jakarta, Sunday.

He said that at GT Pluit 3, lane B was diverted to GT Kapuk and lane A could still be crossed by large vehicles.

"Meanwhile, the exit of Rawa Bokor or Tegal Alur can still be crossed by all types of vehicles," said Dhanar.

In addition, Jasa Marga also deployed seven water pumps to accelerate the draining of the flood in GT Pluit 3 which was detected since 04.12 WIB.

"Currently, a total of seven pumps are operating in two locations with an additional portable pump at the Rawa Bokor access to accelerate flood handling," said Senior Manager Representative Office 2 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad, Ginanjar Bekti R.

He also appealed to road users to remain orderly in the queue and follow the instructions of officers in the field.

"If you have an urgent flight schedule, please use other access through JORR 2 or by considering other public transportation modes to reach Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said Ginanjar.
