In addition to monitoring the water discharge, this Forkopimda also distributed social assistance for affected residents.

The flood conditions in the area were reported to have submerged settlements inhabited by around 200 heads of households (KK). Pekalongan Police Chief AKBP Rachmad C. Yusuf emphasized that his party had prepared various support services at the evacuation to ensure the welfare of residents, especially vulnerable groups.

"We are present directly with the ranks of Forkopimda to check the condition of Dukuh Babadan. Currently, we have evacuated around 120 residents to the evacuation post. We have prepared a health post and also trauma healing for evacuated children. Today, the field kitchen has also begun to be prepared to meet the needs of the residents' consumption," said AKBP Rachmad C. Yusuf in a statement received by VOI, Sunday, January 18, 2026.

The Police Chief added that based on information from BMKG, rainfall in January is predicted to be very high. He appealed to residents living on the banks of rivers to continue to increase their vigilance against rising water flows.

"This flood occurred because the Siwalan River overflowed. We urge the public, if their houses are severely affected, to immediately evacuate to the post we have provided together with related stakeholders. Don't force yourself to survive if the conditions are dangerous," he added.
