WAMENA - The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) hopes that the quick wins program of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Papua Mountains or Papeg can run optimally.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) RI Ribka Haluk some time ago led a coordination meeting for quick wins programs with the Governor of Papua Mountains John Tabo during his working visit to Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

The Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ribka Haluk, in a written statement in Wamena, Saturday, said that the Papua Mountain Province Government (Pemprov) to continue to focus on implementing quick wins programs launched by the central government.

"This program is the government's effort to ensure the welfare and quality of life of the community, especially in Papua, namely the Papua Mountains, can run well," he said.

According to him, for the quick wins program it will be closely monitored by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia so that it can run well throughout Indonesia, especially the Papua Mountains.

"If the governor or regent who does not seriously take care of the president's program for the past five years becomes a serious evaluation by the president," he said.

He hopes that the Papua Mountain Provincial Government will support this central government program and policy in order to improve the welfare of the people in the eight districts, namely Jayawijaya, Lanny Jaya, Nduga, Central Mamberamo, Tolikara, Yahukimo, Yalimo and Pegunungan Bintang.

"We also hope that this program runs well and that the problem of food self-sufficiency, which is still a challenge in Papua, can be optimally resolved," he said.

He added that the regional government, both the province and the eight regencies, can play an active role in overcoming the challenges faced in this area to improve the welfare of the indigenous Papuan people (OAP).
