Driver of Honda Brio Dies After Hitting Busway Separator in Slipi Area

JAKARTA - The driver of a white Honda Brio car with the license plate number BL 1492 AAD with the initials SAA, was found dead after hitting a Busway separator on Jalan S Parman, near the Slipi 2 Toll Gate, Palmerah District, West Jakarta, Friday, January 16, 2026.

"The driver of the car hit the busway separator because he was out of control. The driver died at the scene of the accident with injuries to his hands, feet and body. The victim was taken to Tarakan Hospital for a visum," said Kanit Gakkum Satlantas of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Siswanto when confirmed.

From his identity card, the driver of the Honda Brio was recorded as a resident of Cimanggis, Depok City.

The fatal accident occurred there, the victim who was born in Banda Aceh was traveling from north to south on Jalan S. Parman.

"When he arrived near the Slipi 2 Toll Gate in Palmerah area, the car lost control and rolled to the right. The car then hit the busway separator and the driver died at the scene," he said.

The Honda Brio vehicle also suffered damage to the front body.

Meanwhile, after the incident, the Laka Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police immediately carried out the crime scene. The police also secured the victim's Honda Brio car as evidence.

"For now, the case is handled by the West Jakarta Traffic Accident Unit," he said.
