Motorcyclist who assaulted a lover during a flood in the Koja area was arrested by the police 

JAKARTA - The Koja Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a motorcyclist who dared to abuse a couple of lovers just because he did not accept being scolded by the victim.

The perpetrator was arrested based on evidence of CCTV footage that the police had already collected.

"The perpetrator, initials YJJG (27) from Nias, was arrested after an investigation was carried out. The evidence was confiscated from the CCTV footage of the incident," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Koja Police, AKP Fernando, when confirmed, Friday, January 16.

The perpetrator, a resident of Kampung Bulak Kecil, Tugu Utara Village, Koja District, also admitted his actions and is still undergoing an investigation by investigators.

Meanwhile, the victim with the initials AP (20) suffered a nose injury that bled. The victim, a resident of Koja, has also made a report of persecution at the Koja Police.

The police explained that the incident of abuse occurred on Jalan Kramat Jaya, Tugu Utara Village, Koja District, North Jakarta on Tuesday, January 13. At that time, there was a puddle of water at the scene.

"Initially, the victim was riding with her boyfriend during the incident, then the perpetrator who was riding a motorcycle himself passed by the victim at high speed and the road situation was muddy after the rain so that the victim was hit by a splash of water," he said.

Furthermore, the victim shouted to reprimand the perpetrator, but the perpetrator did not accept it and immediately stopped. Then there was a scuffle between the perpetrator and the victim and his girlfriend.

However, at that time the residents had been arrested, but the perpetrator still did not accept it and then approached the victim who was sitting on the motorcycle.

"The perpetrator then hit the victim's face so that blood came out of the victim's nose, then the perpetrator left," he said.

Then the Koja Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which received the information, immediately checked the crime scene.

"Several witnesses from residents confirmed that there was a fight at the location, but no one knew what the cause was. Furthermore, the operational picket contacted the victim for the victim to explain the chronology of the incident," he said.

"The perpetrator is still being questioned," he said.
