US Sends Warplanes to Middle East amid Tensions with Iran
JAKARTA - The United States has sent a group of its aircraft carriers to the Middle East amid rising tensions in relations with Iran.
It is not clear whether Washington sent the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, or on the ships that recently left the ports of Norfolk and San Diego.
The redeployment is expected to take at least a week. One source told the TV channel, if US President Donald Trump decides to start a military operation, the operation will be different and more offensive.
According to him, strategy experts are studying various scenarios, depending on the actions of the Iranian government in the coming days.
It is also estimated that missile defense systems will be deployed in the region to strengthen Israel's defenses and US bases in the Middle East.
