KSP Ensure Huntara Comfort in Accordance with Presidential Instructions
BANDA ACEH - The Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Muhammad Qodari ensured the comfort of temporary housing (huntara) for flood victims in Aceh Tamiang Regency in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.
"We ensure the comfort of the huntara according to the President's instructions," said Muhammad Qodari when visiting the huntara in Simpang Opak Village, Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Thursday, January 15.
During the visit, Qodari also checked the progress of post-flood recovery in Aceh, including the progress of the provision of temporary and permanent housing in the district.
"We went to the temporary residence prepared by Danantara. There are 600 units, the location is in Simpang Opak Village. The good news is that the refugees in the tent will soon move to this huntara," said Qodari.
Qodari explained that his visit to the huntara followed the President's visit to the place earlier. At the time of the visit, President Prabowo Subianto asked that the huntara be comfortable and not hot.
"Now the ceiling has been installed, so it's not hot anymore. We have also seen that some people use beds, those who have not followed up are in the process," said Qodari.
He emphasized that the location of the huntara in Simpang Opak is a crowded place because it is close to the highway. In this location there is also a large mosque, and around this there are also houses and stalls.
"This location is not a remote place, but strategic. It will be better in the huntara than in the tent. Here there is a communal kitchen, a health clinic, a children's play area. Next to the huntara, a permanent residence is also being built. Later, from the huntara you can move to a permanent residence," he said.
Yusuf Sitorus, coordinator of HAKA development huntara for disaster victims in Aceh Tamiang Regency, said based on coordination with the local government, there were 154 families who moved to huntara on Thursday (15/1) afternoon.
"The transfer from the tent to the huntara is done in waves so that the placement is comfortable. They are from Sukajadi Village, Karang Baru District, in the village there are 300 houses lost due to flooding," he said.
According to Yusuf Sitorus, the total temporary housing for flood victims that has been completed is 600 units. The construction of this huntara took place for two weeks.
Meanwhile, Yandra Saputra, a survivor of the Aceh Tamiang flood disaster, welcomed and was happy to move to the huntara in Simpang Opak because the place was more representative than living in a tent.
"Until now, we have been living in tents. and moved to huntara. It's nice to move to this huntara, it's not hot anymore in the tent," said Yandra Saputra.
