Accelerate Land Certificates, Nusron asks his staff to involve students through KKN

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid asked the ATR/BPN Ministry to expand cooperation with universities throughout Indonesia.

Not without reason, Nusron intends to accelerate the completion of land registration, including waqf land and houses of worship.

The cooperation is expected to involve students through a thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) program to support administrative activities, data collection and land management in the field.

"We need to sharpen our cooperation with universities in Indonesia. If possible, invite other universities, especially those with geodesy majors to participate in KKN or internships. Try to encourage us again so that there are real solutions in the field," said Nusron, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Thursday, January 15.

Nusron emphasized that the involvement of students has proven to be effective, especially in accelerating the certification of wakaf land.

Based on experience in Central Java, especially Pekalongan, the KKN program is able to significantly accelerate the registration of wakaf land and houses of worship.

"Parents in the region, please expand cooperation with Islamic campuses, Muhammadiyah and other universities. This has proven to be effective," he added.

Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Ossy Dermawan assessed that cooperation with universities has strategic value.

Therefore, the preparation of the KKN program this year needs to be carried out thoroughly, including in terms of budgeting.

According to him, the 2026 KKN budget must be thoroughly prepared so that what Nusron wants can be achieved, especially the acceleration of the management of certificates which are targeted at six million land areas this year.

"If this program can be expanded, the themes must be chosen properly. Thus, in 2026 we can add strength to solve these problems," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of ATR/BPN Dalu Agung Darmawan emphasized that his party would also send National Land Higher School (STPN) cadets to carry out the Land KKN for Land Management Practices (KKNP-PTLP) for the third level.

The program will involve as many as 619 cadets as part of the human resource assistance scheme.

Later, the program will support the improvement of land data quality towards electronic pre-certification through the involvement of students in administrative, archival and spatial technical functions in accordance with applicable guidelines.

This strategy is expected to be able to optimize the achievement of national targets in completing land registration.
