4 Police in Madiun Involved in the Circulation of Opium to be Discussed Ethically

MADIUN - The Madiun Police, East Java, are handling a case involving four of its members who are suspected of being involved in the circulation and misuse of methamphetamine.

The handling began when the Madiun Police Resnarkoba Unit arrested a member of the Madiun City Police with the initials HD with evidence of 8.4 grams of methamphetamine.

From the results of the case development, the team then arrested other members of the Madiun City Police, namely AG, DY and DN.

"After the urine test was conducted, the result was positive for using methamphetamine," said Madiun Police Chief AKBP Kemas Indra Natanegara, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 15.

The handling of the case is divided according to authority. For narcotics offenses, the legal process is handled by the Madiun Police because the place where the crime was committed is in the Madiun Regency area.

Meanwhile, handling the code of ethics and disciplinary process as members of the National Police will be handled by the Madiun City Police.

Madiun City Police Chief AKBP Wiwin Junianto Supriadi confirmed the involvement of members of his ranks in the drug abuse case.

"Strict action will be taken as a form of the commitment of the National Police in eradicating drugs. The member has been criminally prosecuted by the Madiun Police. Meanwhile, the Madiun City Police will follow up through the process of the National Police code of ethics," said Wiwin.
