Medan Falcons Determined to Win Two Home Games of the 2026 Proliga
JAKARTA - The Medan Falcons Tirta Bhagasasi men's volleyball team has big ambitions to win all two of their home games in the 2026 Proliga continuation week.
The series of matches in the second week of the 2026 Proliga Round One on January 15-18, 2026 took place at the GOR Voli Indoor Sumut Sport Center, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The status as the host makes the Medan Falcons able to perform confidently.
Medan Falcons coach, Ariyanto Joko Sutrisno, said his team did not want to lose points again, especially after the disappointing results in the first week.
"Our target is clear, these two matches must be won," said Ariyanto in an official statement received by the media.
Medan Falcons are scheduled to face Jakarta Garuda Jaya on Thursday, January 15, 2026. After that, they meet Surabaya Samator on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Previously, in the opening week in Pontianak, they had to admit the superiority of Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi with a landslide score of 0-3. The defeat was a material for a thorough evaluation for the team.
"The result in Pontianak is an important lesson. Now we are playing in front of our own supporters and hope that the support of the people of North Sumatra can increase the spirit and confidence of the players," said Ariyanto.
In the current standings, Medan Falcons are in fourth place out of five male teams participating. The defeat in the first week made them not collect points.
The current top position belongs to Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, who managed to sweep all two matches in the first week so that they already have six points.
