Landslide on the Pleret-Dlingo Bantul Road Closed Temporarily
Bantul - Police officers of the Bantul Regional Police, Special Yogyakarta (DIY), temporarily closed the road section from the Pleret District to Dlingo due to a cliff in the area that collapsed on Wednesday, January 14 at night.
The Public Relations Officer of the Bantul Police, Iptu Rita Hidayanto, said that on Wednesday night at 22.45 WIB, a landslide had occurred in the Kebokuning, Terong, Dlingo area, which resulted in the Cinomati Pleret road to Dlingo not being able to be passed by cars.
"The actions taken at the scene of the crime (TKP) by the picket guard of the Dlingo Police Sector (Polsek) by closing the Terong Dlingo intersection that wanted to go to Pleret," Rita said in her statement, Thursday, January 15.
According to him, the landslide of the Pleret road to Dlingo was caused by the rain water that flooded the area on Wednesday and so the location is currently closed temporarily so that vehicles do not pass through.
"There were no casualties in the incident. For handling at the crime scene, we coordinate with community leaders and volunteers," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Emergency, Logistics and Equipment of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bantul, Antoni Hutagaol, confirmed the existence of a landslide in the Cinomati Pleret Bantul area.
"Based on information from the Disaster Management Operations Center (Pusdalops), last (14/1) night there was a landslide in Cino Mati and it was cleaned up by residents," he said.
According to him, for the time being, the Pleret-Dlingo road section, which is on the slope of the hill, was temporarily closed by the police, so that the handling of the landslide impact could be carried out.
"This morning, the road will be sprayed from the remnants of the landslide so that it is not slippery. And the road in the area is temporarily closed by the police," he said.
