Badung Regency, Bali Starts to Arrange Kuta Beach Sand
BADUNG - The Badung Regency Government, Bali, has started working on sand arrangement in the Kuta Beach tourist area which was damaged by abrasion.
"In accordance with the commitment of the Regent of Badung since January 13, 2026, we have carried out sand arrangement activities at Kuta Beach," said Acting Head of the Badung PUPR Office Anak Agung Rama Putra in Mangupura, Badung Regency, Wednesday, January 14.
In addition to filling in the area that was abraded with sand, the local government also cleaned up the pedestrian or pedestrian path that was affected by sand movement and waves.
"So, what is the most important is the condition and we have done it. We also simultaneously do the walkway fire. Later, what is still scattered, we will clean it up," he said.
Agung Rama Putra explained that currently the work is still focused on the front area of HardRockBali to the south, and in front of the Beachwalk shopping center area.
The handling was carried out at a number of points that experienced damage due to abrasion, with a total length of the affected area of about 100 meters.
He revealed that the local government used pasireksisting or those in the Kuta Beach area by directing one unit bulldozer and excavator in the sand beach arrangement work.
"This is a routine maintenance of sand, after erosion. We hope that through this maintenance, Kuta Beach can remain a comfortable destination to visit," said Agung Rama Putra.
The Regent of Badung IWayan Adi Arnawamengatakan his party gave serious attention to the development of Kuta Beach because the destination was considered very potential as a world tourist destination.
According to him, this step is taken to maintain the width of the beach, prevent abrasion, and maintain the carrying capacity of the Kuta tourism area.
"We do this so that Kuta Beach remains safe, comfortable, and sustainable for the community and tourists," he said.
He added that the Badung Regency Government was committed to restoring the glory of Kuta while maintaining the authenticity of the beach and prioritizing the comfort of tourists.
