Syafiq Found Dead on Mount Slamet, It Took Time to Evacuate

BPBD Pemalang Regency stated that bad weather had hampered officers in the process of evacuating the victim Syafiq Ridhan Ali (18) who was found dead at Post 7 of the slopes of Mount Slamet, specifically in the Batu Langgar area.

"(The body) Syafiq Ridhan Ali was found at Post 7 or at the highest post so it took time to evacuate," said Head of the BPBD Pemalang Regency Agus Ikmaludin as reported by ANTAR, Wednesday, January 14.

According to him, his party has prepared ambulances and equipment and coordinated for medical treatment with local health service officers.

The Head of the Dipajaya Gunung Slamet Basecamp, Sutrisno, said that the body of Syafiq Ridhan Ali was found at Post 7 Gunung Slamet on the 17th day of the search for the victim.

"Alhamdulillah, thanks to the hard work of all the teams, Syafiq Ali was found," he said.

According to him, the victim will be taken to the Dipajayase camp before being sent home.

Syafiq Ridhan Ali, a resident of Kramat Utara, North Magelang, disappeared while climbing Mount Slamet through the Dipajaya route in Clekatakan Village, Pulosari District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java.

At that time, the victim was climbing with Himawan Choidar Bahran, a resident of Secang, Magelang. The two climbed through the Dipajaya Clekatan climbing route on Friday (27/12/2025).

Hima was found by the SAR team in a safe condition on Tuesday (30/12/2025).
