Police Arrest Two Suspects in the Murder of a Man at Jakasampurna TPU
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has arrested two suspected perpetrators of the murder of a man whose body was found at the General Cemetery (TPU) of the Jakasampurna Complex, West Bekasi District.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said the two perpetrators were arrested by the Subdit Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
"Yes, we have secured two suspected perpetrators related to the murder case in the West Bekasi area," he said when confirmed, Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
The victim is known as MDT. Meanwhile, the two suspected perpetrators, with initials JP and G. Both are suspected of playing the role of executors.
"The motive for the murder is suspected to be due to revenge related to the debt between the victim and the perpetrator," said Budi.
Investigators also seized a number of evidence, including a belt that was allegedly used to strangle the victim's neck, several mobile phones, the victim's bag, and clothes related to the incident.
"Currently, the two perpetrators have been detained and undergoing intensive examination," he concluded.
