Gorontalo Police Officer Allegedly Commits Sexual Violence, Propam Conducts an Investigation

Gorontalo - The Professional and Security Division (Bidpropam) of the Gorontalo Regional Police (Polda) is investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a police officer in the area.

Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Gorontalo Police, Police Commissioner General Desmont Harjendro, said that regarding the information that was circulating and widely discussed on social media, the Gorontalo Police Bidpropam had summoned and examined one of the officers with the initials AF.

"Propam Polda is still conducting in-depth investigations and examinations regarding the allegations related to the information," Desmont said in Gorontalo, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.

"Regarding the facts, evidence, and anyone who reported the case, it is still being investigated, even the investigators are still trying to get information from other parties," he continued.

Therefore, Desmont said to prove that someone is guilty or not, it must go through an easy process and require evidence to witnesses who can be held accountable for testimony in the eyes of the law.

Meanwhile, regarding who the victim or the person who acted as the reporter in this case, his party has not received any new information.

Desmont ensured that the Gorontalo Police always paid attention to every handling of reported cases in an objective and professional manner without discrimination.

"For the development of handling this case, we will convey it to the public through the media and of course this case is in process," he added.
