Although Adhi Karya did not participate in uncovering the Monorail Pole, Pramono ensured that the legal affairs were completed.
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has begun to carry out the demolition of the old monorail project pillars along Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta. A total of 109 pillars will be removed on the 36-kilometer road.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung believes that the demolition of the monorail pole will not violate the law. Although, based on the court's decision, the pole is an asset owned by PT Adhi Karya as the contractor for the monorail project decades ago.
Moreover, continued Pramono, the DKI Provincial Government has also asked for assistance from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office and legal consultation with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"So, the legal matter is of course with the letter from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, it has actually been completed," said Pramono on Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 14.
In the ceremony for the demolition of the monorail pole, there were no representatives from Adhi Karya who were present. However, this did not deter the DKI Provincial Government's intention to execute the demolition.
Pramono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government had sent a letter to the state-owned company to dismantle the broken monorail pole since November 2025.
"We give a time limit of one month that it cannot be dismantled. We are certainly still communicating with Adhi Karya because for me personally this settlement must also make everyone feel comfortable," explained Pramono.
It is targeted that the dismantling of the pole in Rasuna Said will last for three months. After being dismantled, the DKI Provincial Government will return the asset to Adhi Karya.
"What is clear, we continue to communicate with Adhi Karya, including the iron later, why this is not done with a certain contractor, but why the iron later we will hand over to Adhi Karya," he said.
Pramono emphasized that cutting the monorail pole would only cost a budget of Rp. 254 million. Meanwhile, the total budget of around Rp. 102 billion was allocated for the overall arrangement of the area.
The arrangement includes repairs to roads, water channels, sidewalks, parks, public street lighting, and other supporting facilities along Jalan Rasuna Said.
"For the cost of demolition itself, it is actually 254 million. Then for the overall arrangement, there will be roads, there will be ditches, there will be parks, then there will be pedestrians, estimated at 102 billion rupiah," said Pramono.
