Indonesia Masters 2026: Host Country Drops 21 Representatives
JAKARTA - Indonesia has decided to send 21 representatives to face the 2026 BWF Super 500 Indonesia Masters which will take place next week.
The tournament will be held on January 20-25, 2026 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. The World Badminton Federation (BWF) has also officially released the results of the draw.
Of the 21 Indonesian representatives who will play in the event, three of them will fight from the qualifying round.
They are the men's singles Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah and Prahdiska Bagas Shujiwo and the women's doubles Nabila Cahya Permata Ayu/Nahya Muhyifa.
In the men's singles, Indonesia sent a total of four representatives. The other two who immediately fought from the main round were Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan.
The women's doubles is the sector with the most representatives who appear at Istora. The number totals seven pairs, including those who have recently undergone a revamp.
Apriyani Rahayu who previously played with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will pair up with Lanny Tria Mayasari. As for Fadia will duet with Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.
In the previous composition, Amallia paired up with Lanny. The pair are still performing together at the 2026 Super 750 India Open which is currently underway.
The men's doubles number certainly still relies on the pair of Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.
The three will be accompanied by the pair of Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, who closed last year with the title at the Australian Open, defeating their seniors Fajar/Fikri.
Furthermore, in the mixed doubles, Indonesia sent down six pairs, including a duet between Dejan Ferdinansyah/Bernadine Anindya Wardana, who were only united in the middle of last year.
Dejan/Bernadine managed to reach four finals after being paired. Two of them that yielded titles were the BWF Super 300 Syed Modi and Super 100 Al Ain Masters.
At the 2026 Indonesia Masters, Putri Kusuma Wardani will bear the burden of the women's singles alone. The 23-year-old shuttler still has to perform alone because Gregoria Mariska Tunjung is not fit.
Badminton specialist doubles player Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja will also appear. However, he will come down with a different country pair, namely with Hee Yong Kai Terry (Singapore).
