Government Allocates Rp100 Million Budget for the Construction of a Special Mine Line in Parung Panjang, Source of Funds from the 2026 APBD

Bogor - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) has allocated a budget of around Rp. 100 billion in the 2026 APBD for the release of land for special mine transport roads in the Cigudeg, Rumpin, and Parung Panjang areas.

Bogor Regency Regional Secretary Ajat Rochmat Jatnika said that the mine entrepreneurs also donated the land they controlled to be used as a special mine transport road.

"If there are many grants, then the land acquisition budget can be diverted to road construction. This will certainly accelerate development," said Ajat as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 14.

This step, said Ajat, allows the Bogor Regency Government to utilize the APBD funds for the construction of the infrastructure.

"The closure and opening of mines is the authority of the province, but we show that the local government and entrepreneurs are ready to collaborate with a more responsible approach," he said.

The special mine road, which is planned to be about 15 kilometers long, will be used exclusively for the transportation of goods and mine materials, so that it will no longer come into contact with the public traffic that often takes human lives.

In addition to reducing the burden on public roads, the construction of the special lane is also expected to reduce environmental and social impacts due to mining activities in West Bogor.

Ajat added that currently the Bogor Regency Government is still processing the determination of the location and appraisal of land prices (appraisal) to ensure which land is donated and which must still be officially released in accordance with the provisions.

"Everything must be clear administratively. We are not hasty in using state funds, but ensure that every process is in accordance with the rules," he said.

For your information, the activity of mining trucks in the Parung Panjang area, Bogor Regency, West Java, has become a frightening scourge among the community.

The community is often the victim of traffic accidents on the main road used by mining trucks.

At least 213 people died due to traffic accidents on the Parung Panjang line from 2018 to 2025.

Most of the victims died after being hit by the tire of a mining truck.

The lack of supervision of mining activities and the poor condition of road infrastructure are the main factors that trigger the loss of human lives.
