Learning in the midst of flooding, students from Lebak Elementary School still go to school
LEBAK - The Lebak Regency Education Office (Disdik), Banten, carried out the Learning and Teaching Activities (KBM) at the Elementary School (SD) level in the midst of flooding due to high rainfall in recent days.
"We do not suspend KBM, even though several areas have been hit by floods and landslides," said Head of the Elementary School (Kabid SD) of the Lebak Regency Education Office Hadi Mulya, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 14.
Based on field monitoring, 775 elementary schools in 28 sub-districts in the district were not affected by floods and landslides. In addition, in various areas in Lebak Regency, the flood has receded and people have occupied their homes.
Likewise, educators, including teachers, and elementary school students as usual carry out KBM at their local schools. However, all students do not use shoes to maintain cleanliness in the room.
"None of the students are on vacation, especially today it is not hit by heavy rain," said Hadi.
Sukarno, a teacher at the Rangkasbitung Education Complex SDN, Lebak Regency, said that the implementation of KBM at the school continued even though on Monday (12/1) the flood entered the school yard.
"All students study normally like usual days, even though there was a flood to the school yard," he said.
Meanwhile, a number of students at SDN Komdik Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, said they could still attend KBM, because the flood was only 30 centimeters deep in the school yard and did not enter the room.
"The condition of our school building is above after the construction was carried out, so the flood only flooded the ceremony yard," said Yusuf, a student at SDN Komdik Rangkasbitung, Lebak.
