The title of the Infrastructure Summit, SIG strengthens strategic collaboration to create business opportunities in 2026

JAKARTA - The condition of overcapacity and the slowdown in the growth of the domestic cement market throughout 2025, does not make PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) follow the market. Through the SIG Infrastructure Summit with the theme "Proud to Build Indonesia", SIG has proposed strategic steps to overcome the tight industry competition.

In front of business partners, banking, and other stakeholders, SIG's Sales and Marketing Director, Dicky Saelan said, SIG continues to continue its business transformation to present innovative building materials solutions and supporting services that are relevant to the needs of an increasingly dynamic market. SIG is also present closer to understanding the needs and characteristics of customers in each region, while improving supply chain governance to be more effective and efficient.

"SIG continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner for customers through the development of green cement, innovative products, and integrated construction solutions. We strive to ensure that every SIG product and service not only meets the technical needs of the project, but also supports long-term sustainability targets," said Dicky Saelan at the Renaissance Hotel Nusa Dua, Bali, in December 2025.

Through the SIG Infrastructure Summit, SIG strengthens collaboration between industry players, business partners, banks, and other stakeholders, in supporting the development of national infrastructure, and confirms its leadership in the building materials industry in Indonesia which not only provides building material solutions such as green cement and its environmentally friendly derivatives, but also supporting services, with the support of extensive and widespread operating facilities throughout Indonesia.

In line with the projection of the recovery of the cement industry and the national economy, the banking sector emphasizes the importance of utilizing the momentum of growth. VP of Industry and Regional Research PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, Dendi Ramdani who was present at this activity, said that based on internal studies and projections, national cement sales are estimated to still grow by around 2.5 percent in 2026, driven by increased infrastructure spending and the property sector, although the industry is still facing the challenge of overcapacity, an unoptimal utilization rate, and efficiency pressures.

This condition requires industry players to continue to adapt through innovation and strengthening added value, in line with the strategy implemented by SIG in providing sustainable construction solutions.

In the forum which featured construction industry players, SIG Operations Director Reni Wulandari also invited all stakeholders to realize sustainable construction in Indonesia through the use of environmentally friendly and low-carbon building materials.

Reni Wulandari also had the opportunity to introduce the SIG green cement innovation which is produced with environmentally friendly materials and processes so that it has a lower carbon emission of up to 38 percent compared to conventional cement, and has a high domestic content (TKDN) rate of over 90%. Such as SIG hydraulical cement with the PwrPro brand which is designed to produce high-quality environmentally friendly concrete.

PwrPro has proven to be resilient in supporting strategic construction, including Thamrin Nine Tower, Purwosari Flyover, Batang Industrial Estate, Sabo Dam Merapi, and Kendal Industrial Park. In addition, SIG also encourages the use of green cement derivative products, namely precision interlock bricks, as a solution to support the government's 3 million houses per year program.

On the same occasion, Deputy President Director of SIG, Andriano Hosny Panangian, emphasized the Company's commitment to providing construction solutions that support sustainable infrastructure development, in line with the global construction industry which is increasingly moving towards decarbonization, so that material and technological innovations are needed that can reduce emissions while maintaining the reliability of infrastructure.

"We believe that the development of Indonesian infrastructure must be in line with the agenda of transition to low carbon so that Indonesia remains competitive and competitive globally. Through the SIG Infrastructure Summit, we invite all stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, explore strategic project opportunities, and together present sustainable construction solutions that provide real added value for Indonesia's development," said Andriano Hosny Panangian.
