220 Kg of Narcotics Seized, the Performance of the Kaltara Police Narcotics Division Rises to 18th National Level
TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan Regional Police Narcotics Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) has recorded significant achievements in eradicating the circulation of narcotics.
Director of Narcotics Investigation (Dirreskoba) of the Kaltara Police, Kombes Ronny Tri Prasetyo, revealed that during his duty in the border area with limited personnel formation, his party was still able to show concrete and measurable performance.
"For 1 year and 5 months I served as the Director of Narcotics Investigation of the Kaltara Police, we managed to uncover a number of narcotics cases with a total of 220 kilograms of evidence," said Kombes Ronny, who now has a new mandate as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Police, Deputy Level II, on Tuesday, January 13.
"The condition of the border area and the limitations of personnel are a challenge in itself. However, the responsibility for law enforcement must still be carried out in full," he continued.
This achievement has a direct impact on improving performance nationally. The Kaltara Police, which was previously ranked 32nd nationally in handling narcotics cases, managed to jump to 18th place.
"This increase is an indicator of the effectiveness of law enforcement and strengthening public confidence in the performance of the police, especially in border areas," he explained.
In addition, the Kaltara Police Narcotics Division has been recorded as receiving invitations to the central level in Jakarta five times, an achievement that has never been achieved before.
"Polda Kaltara is one of the 11 Polda in Indonesia who have the honor to attend a national agenda with the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding drug eradication," said Kombes Ronny.
He emphasized that this achievement proves that the Regional Police in the border area is able to compete professionally with other Regional Police in Indonesia.
"We don't want the border police to be looked down on, at least in one month we target the disclosure of drug cases. With hard work and commitment, we are able to show results," he concluded.
Now the position of the Head of the Narcotics Division of the Kaltara Police is now held by Kombes Pol. Hamid Andri Soemantri who previously served as Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation of the Lampung Police.
