Kaltara Supports People's Schools, a Solution to Equalize Education in 3T Areas
TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Deputy Governor (Wagub), Ingkong Ala, emphasized that the Provincial Government (Pemprov) Kaltara fully supports the People's School program. This is a solution to equalize access to education, especially for people in remote, leading, and outermost (3T) areas.
The statement was made by Ingkong after attending the inauguration of the 9 Banjarbaru Integrated People's School (STR) held at the Banjarmasin Education and Welfare Training Center (BBPPK), South Kalimantan (Kalsel), Monday, January 12.
"The presence of the People's School is very relevant to the condition of Kaltara as a border province that still faces the challenge of equalizing educational services," said Ingkong Ala.
According to him, the People's School is a strategic solution to reach children from pre-prosperous families and communities in the 3T area.
"It is hoped that the People's School in Kaltara will be able to open wider and more equitable access to education, as well as improve the quality of human resources in border areas," said Ingkong.
He emphasized that the regional government in Kaltara is ready to support the implementation of the People's School, starting from the provision of facilities and infrastructure, support for educators, and strengthening the synergy between the central government and the community.
"With the presence of the People's School, it is hoped that the school participation rate can increase and the education gap between regions can be suppressed," he said.
